Funeral Services for Dale H. Bombard, age 79, of Morristown, NY, will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Frary Funeral Home at 10:00AM with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Gouverneur, NY. Calling hours will be held from 9:00AM until the time of the funeral services on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Mr. Bombard passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
Dale is survived by his lifelong friend, Donna Bombard of Ogdensburg, NY; a son, Peter Bombard of Fort Wayne, IN; a daughter, Angela Bombard of Batavia, NY; two step daughters, Nancy Hazelton and her companion, Haskell Sobon, of Ogdensburg, NY and Linda Erdman and her companion, Jeff Jones, of Gouverneur, NY; 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Dale was born on June 4, 1939, in Lake Placid, NY, the son of Herbert and Lillian Durant Bombard. He graduated from Franklin Academy in 1957 in Malone, NY. A marriage to Joan Williams ended in divorce. He was produce manager of ACME and later retired from Great American Food Store in Potsdam, NY.
Dale enjoyed collecting cars, fishing and camping. He was an avid NASCAR and Syracuse Basketball fan.
