Sally Leonard Boatman, 89, formerly of Potsdam, passed away March 27, 2019 in Liverpool NY.
She was born in Watertown on August 23, 1929, the daughter of Robert A. and Vera Hartness Leonard, and graduated from Watertown High School. Sally married Paul Francis Boatman of Marinette, WI on May 28, 1955 at Saint Patrick’s Church in Watertown. They resided in Potsdam for six decades.
She was formerly employed by Corbett’s Jewelry Store, and the Lewis & Company Department Store in Potsdam, as well as the SUNY Potsdam bookstore. She is survived by sons, Paul & Ginger Boatman of Liverpool, David & Nina Boatman of Auburn CA, and daughter, Cheryl & Paul Ossip of Denver CO; four grandsons, two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. She loved her family dearly.
Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Paul, and also her brother Robert E. Leonard, Carthage. Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service, and the family will be having a private celebration of her life.
