pAlexis M. Shearer, 18, of Rome, passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital on May 8, 2016. She was born on December 19, 1997 in New Hartford, the daughter of Jonathan Shearer and Pauline Sheffield Drake. She was a member of the Senior Class of Rome Free Academy and on schedule to graduate this year. /ppLexi was very artistic and loved to draw and write. She also enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. /ppShe is survived by her parents, Pauline (Rodney) Drake of Rome and Jonathan (Cindy) Shearer of Carthage; five sisters, Jade Llewellyn, Holly Sheffield, Raven Walters, Emily Drake, and Destini Drake; three brothers, Brian Arrigo, Nathan Drake and Nicholas Drake; maternal grandparents, Cynthia (Terry Aldeco) Wallis and Lawrence (Mary) Johnson; paternal grandparents, Jean Marie Walters and Dennis Walters; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially Sydnei Raelynn and Tabitha Cole and her daughter, Elise. She was predeceased by a brother, Xavier Shearer. /ppFuneral services will be held on Monday at 11:00AM at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
