pGouverneur - Theodore J. “Ted” Gardner, 52, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home, under the care of his family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley./ppCalling hours will be held Saturday, May 14th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with David Hart, pastor of the Presbyterian Stone Church and First Congregational Church of Ogdensburg, officiating and burial in Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur./ppTed was born in Watertown on October 19, 1963, the son of William “Bud” and Joyce Mills Gardner./ppHe graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1981 and attended Buffalo NTTS for training to drive trucks./ppTed had worked construction, been a farmer, and most recently drove milk truck for Gaetano Transportation of Watertown./ppHe was previously married to Debra Nier./ppOn August 18, 2007, Ted married Jennifer J. Lumley at the Antwerp United Methodist Church./ppTed enjoyed driving truck, four wheeling, tinkering on small engines, hunting, and was a member of the Little Bow Hunting Club./ppTed is survived by his wife Jennifer, his children Troy Gardner of Watertown, Trevor and Ashley Gardner of Brewerton, Tyler Bates and Tanna Davis of Gouverneur, Jordan Ritz, Connor Ritz, and Reid Gardner, all of Gouverneur, Britney Gardner and Ben Cook of Waterown, Morgan Bates and Justin Brassard of Morley. He is also survived by several grandchildren, a brother Tom and Sue Gardner of Heuvelton, a sister Ann Runner and her companion Larry Strate of Buffalo, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
