pWest Barre: Grace (Peters) Allen, 101, died June 16, 2016 at Unity Hospital. Grace was born August 8, 1914 in the Town of Oakfield a daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Beeton) Peters. Grace was a lifelong active member of the West Barre United Methodist Church and a graduate and valedictorian of Oakfield High School, class of 1932./ppShe was predeceased by her husband, Leon, brother, Ned A. Peters and a sister, Bernice Chatt./ppGrace is survived by her sons, William Lee (Donna) Allen of Barker and Peter E. Allen of West Barre; grandchildren, Tammy (Ronnie Johnson) Parmelee, Gina (fiancé Stosh Garczynski) Deskins, Elizabeth Allen; great-grandchildren, Grace and Maxwell Parmelee; nieces, Doreen Peters, Sherry Bernreuther, Carla Rathbun, Joan Peters, Wendy Peters, Toni Mills and Juliet Phelps; cousins, Ned, Sheila and Rebecca. /ppA private funeral service will be held with interment in Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Barre United Methodist Church, 5377 Eagle Harbor Rd. Albion, NY 14411.
