pFuneral services for Rose M. Seymour, age 93, formerly of Hamilton St., Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral with nephew and godson, Rev. Jay Seymour officiating. Interment will be at Foxwood Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Seymour passed away at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center on Friday, July 29, 2016. Rose spent the last four years under the loving care of the Giglio family./ppMrs. Seymour is survived by two sons, Michael J., of Canton and Richard L. of Ogdensburg; seven daughters, Teresa S. LaFlair and her husband, Richard, Margaret R. Richardson, and her husband, Cody, Ellen A. Tulip and her husband, Donald, Clara E. (Mark) MacDougall, Laura A. Sovie and her husband, Chris, Mary E. Giglio and her husband, Michael; and Elizabeth J. Testani and her husband, Anthony; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by two grandsons, Chad LaFlair and Alexander Testani; one great grandson, Anthony McNichol; a daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Seymour; one sister, Clara Seymour; and one brother, Louis Seguin./ppMrs. Seymour was born on June 5, 1923, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Burns Seguin. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1942. She married James P. Seymour at St. Mary’s Cathedral on September 4, 1943 with Rev. Msgr. Clarence M. Devan officiating. Mr. Seymour passed away on July 30, 2001. After high school Rose worked behind the counter at J.J. Newberry’s department store./ppMrs. Seymour loved riding her bicycle into her 70’s.
