Annabelle “Belle” Baker

pFuneral services for Annabelle “Belle” Baker age 91 of Ogdensburg will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday (Aug 10th) at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ogdensburg. /ppCalling hours will be held on 4 – 8pm on Tuesday (Aug 9th) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. /ppMrs. Baker passed away on Thursday (August 4, 2016) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family./ppSurviving are three sons and one daughter: Reg (Pat) Baker of Ann Arbor, MI; Timothy (Shannon) Baker of Ogdensburg; Brenda (Eric) Zumwalt of Oswego; and Jeff (Lee) Baker of Seattle WA; a special nephew Al (Judy) Premo of Ogdensburg; four grandchildren Craig Murphy, Curtis & Nate Baker and Jennifer Indorato; four great-grandchildren Steven & Elizabeth Indorato and Conall & Aine Murphy along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins./ppBelle was predeceased by her husband Warren “Bunk” Baker; three brothers John, Mahlon, and Harold Robinson and three sisters Winifred Pitcher, Elizabeth Premo, and Joan Fielding./ppShe was born on May 20, 1925 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Morton and Anna (Maroney) Robinson. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and later married Warren E. Baker on May 25, 1946 at St. Mary’s Cathedral rectory./ppBelle worked at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in the cafeteria prior to her marriage, and later became a fulltime mother, for which her children will always be grateful. Throughout the years, she was an active volunteer at Bishop Conroy and Ogdensburg Catholic Central schools, K of C Auxiliary, St. Vincent DePaul, and St. Mary’s Cathedral. /ppShe enjoyed baking, reading, gardening, going out to dinner, traveling to see family, and visiting with her children and grandchildren. Belle’s life revolved around her husband, family and church.
