pLeo F. Bandych , 79, passed away on Sunday at The Grand in Rome with loving family by his side. Leo was born on March 21, 1937 in Utica NY, son of Walter and Victoria (Matuszczak) Bandych. Leo graduated from Lowville Academy and Central School in 1954. He enlisted in the US Air Force in November 1954. He served in the Strategic Air Command and received the Presidential Citation with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters and Wings. He was honorably discharged in September 1958. Leo worked as a salesman and owned a business in Lexington, Kentucky./ppHe leaves his children, Christopher, Kevin & Victoria and grandchildren, sisters; Mrs. Eleanor Virkler, West Winfield, Mrs. Helen (James) Keohane, Watertown, along with nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, James in 1986 and Stanley in 2012./ppA private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
