pSandra J. LaVigne, age 72 of Ogdensburg passed away on September 1, 2016 at her home. There will be no public services at this time./ppSurviving is her brother Douglas LaVigne of Ogdensburg; an aunt Donna King of Ogdensburg; cousins Richard (Peggy) LaVigne of Ogdensburg; an uncle Larry (JoAnne) King of Florida./ppSandy was born on November 18, 1943 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Robert & Claire (King) LaVigne. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1961 and continued her education at SUNY Courtland where she received a Physical Education degree and transferred to Syracuse University to receive a Masters of Arts in Library and Information Science. /ppDuring her career she worked at Massena Central School as a librarian and also taught gymnastics for K-12 graders for a period. She is a member of the retired teachers association and enjoyed her cats, being in nature, animals of all kinds and reading. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Lawrence County SPCA.
