pDeferiet, NY- Margaret Anna Lovejoy, 94, of 33 Wilna Ave., died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Carthage Area Hospital where she has resided for 2 years. /ppMargaret was born on June 14, 1922 in Deferiet, the daughter of the late George and Mary Anna (Miterko) Pastor. She was a graduate of Carthage High School and a graduate of secretarial school in New York City. Margaret worked for the St. Regis Paper Company in Deferiet as a secretary. She married Myles N. Lovejoy on June 5, 1948 at St. Rita’s Church in Deferiet. She loved to knit, crochet, embroider and spending time outdoors working on her home./ppShe was a member of St. Rita’s Church of Deferiet./ppShe is survived by her husband: Myles N. Lovejoy of Deferiet, four daughters and their husbands: Joanne and Daniel Birchenough of Fulton, Marianne and Stanley Ferguson of Carthage, Kathleen and Philip Aylward of Oswego, and Maribeth and Raymond LaFave of Alexandria, VA, 11 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren and a brother, Albert Pastor./ppShe is predeceased by her son, Lonnie Lovejoy who died on November 2, 2006 and a sister, Mary Hoffman./ppA funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 20 at St. Rita’s Church, Deferiet with Rev. Robert L. Decker officiating. Burial will be in Black River Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
