Lysle Harris Reviere

pCARTHAGE – Lysle Harris Reviere, 96, formerly of NYS Route 26, died on Friday afternoon, November 4, 2016 at the Samaritan Keep Home, where he had resided for a short time./ppBorn on July 12, 1920 in Watertown, the son of Fred & Bessie Harris Reviere, he was educated in Watertown schools. He married Eva Mae Lyon on November 28, 1942 in Watertown, with the Rev. Frank Edwards officiating. He previously worked at the St. Regis Bag mill, and farmed for 27 years, as well as being a carpenter for both Lehman & Zehr and Vinnie Farney. He was also a custodian at the Carthage Central High School, later transferring to the Carthage Middle School as Head Custodian for 21 years, retiring in 1983./ppHe built his own camp on Pillar Point in 1970 where he enjoyed fishing and boating with his family and friends. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many of his children’s old toys./ppSurviving is his son, Robert C. and his wife, Kay, San Angelo, Texas, a daughter, Rosemary and her fiancée, David C. Constance, Evans Mills, a brother, Raymond, Hamburg, New Jersey, a sister, Betty Kenyon, along with 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews./ppHe is predeceased by his wife, Eva, his sons; Randy Lee and Roger Lysle Reviere, his foster son, Garland Eisenhauer and his brother, Bernard./ppA graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery, Champion. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are being handled by the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. /ppMemorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 155, Watertown, NY 13601 or the Carthage Area Rescue Squad, 200 Riverside Dr., Carthage, NY 13619./p
