pWilliam G. Eastman, 79, Ellisburg, passed away Saturday, November 5th at his home under the care of his family./ppThe memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, November 12th at the Ellisburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Strader officiating. Burial will be for the convenience of the family in the Ellisburg Cemetery./ppBill was born in Watertown, March 4th, 1937, a son to Gerald M. and Alice Brimmer Eastman. He graduated from Union Academy Belleville in 1956. He furthered his education attending Cornell University and graduated from SUNY Morrisville. Following his education, Bill went into partnership with his father on the family dairy farm, later assuming ownersh*ip. At the time of his passing, Bill was in partnership on the farm with his sons, William, Robert and Roger./ppMr. Eastman was a member and trustee of the Ellisburg United Methodist Church. He served on the Ellisburg Town Board, the Ellisburg Cemetery Association and was a member of the Union Grange #5. He had served as a state director for DHIA./ppBill married Donna Edwards of Croghan, April 8th, 1961 at St. Stephen’s Church in Croghan./ppHe is survived by his wife, Donna; his 11 children Mary (Mark) Privitera, Walnut Creek, CA, Jane (Rex) Halladay, Chenango Forks, NY, Patricia (Tom) Ventiquattro II, Chateaugay, , William (Becky) Eastman, Ellisburg, Thomas Eastman (Janet Metz), NJ, Cara (Chris) Wilson, Stanfordville, NY, Elizabeth (Jason) Wagers, Cincinnati, OH, Donna Eastman, Hyde park, NY, Nancy Eastman, Phoenix, AZ, Robert (Carrie) Eastman, Mannsville, Roger (Jessica) Eastman, Ellisburg; 25 grandchildren; his brother John (Patricia) Eastman, Ellisburg; nieces and nephews./ppIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ellisburg United Methodist Church./ppCondolences may be made at www.carpenterstoodley.com. /p
