pMichael V. Parody, of Aynor, SC, died on Wednesday, November 2nd, at Grand Strand Medical Center. He was 63. Mike was born on January 4, 1953 in Watertown, NY. In 1973, he married Karon Fisher, and together they had 2 children, Andrew and Rebecca, but Mike’s role as a father did not end there. Mike and Karon took in their niece and nephew, Matt and Ginger Vaadi, in 2004 as legal guardians. Mike also played the role of father for his two granddaughters, Mikenna and Shayla Hayes. Mike worked at Pepsi in Conway, SC, retiring in 2015. A unique soul, Mike was very funny and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He dedicated his entire life to serving others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mike is survived by his wife Karon; his four children - Rebecca, Ginger, Andrew and his wife Careylynn, Matt and his wife Katie; six grandchildren Amy-Elizabeth, Michael, Mikenna, Shayla, Colt, and Elle; three brothers - Oscar, Carl, and Bernard; and his friends and extended family. A brother, Randy, predeceased him in 2009. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 18th, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Johnson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 19th, at 12:30pm at the Dexter American Legion 105 E. Bronson Street Dexter, NY.
