Glenn A. Schouten

Glenn Allan Schouten, age 89, resident of Chaumont passed away Saturday at Upstate Medical Center. Glenn resided in Chaumont for 55 years, and spent time in Pulaski and North Syracuse. He was born October 6, 1927 in Pineville, the son of Elmer and Mabel Whitney Schouten. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1945 and served in the Army Air Corp from 1944 until 1946. Glenn married Mary Stearns on August 29, 1952. He was employed by Conrail in Dewitt for 40 years, retiring in 1988. Glenn was a member of the Masonic Lodge #802 in Chaumont.

Surviving are his wife Mary, one son, Russell Schouten of Long Beach, CA, one grandson, Bryan Schouten of Watertown, and one great-grandson, Bryan Schouten of Watertown. Glenn was predeceased by one son, Todd Schouten who passed away July 4, 2016.

Calling hours will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, February 17, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Graveside services will be held in the spring at time to be announced at Pine Plans Cemetery, Clay.
