MASSENA – Mrs. Norma A. Paquin, 81, 228 Andrews Street, unexpectedly passed away Sunday evening, March 12, 2017 at Massena Memorial Hospital.
Norma was born December 1, 1935 in North Lawrence, the daughter of the late Charles and Froma I. Gabriel Wolcott and was a graduate of Massena High School. In 1955, she married Leo A. Paquin at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Harold Skelly, officiating. Leo predeceased her on June 28, 2016.
Norma worked in mid-management and planning for New York Telephone continuing with Verizon until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the New York Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed painting, traveling, ceramic and spending time with her family-especially her grandchildren.
Norma is survived by her children, Steven Paquin of Houston; Daniel Paquin of Massena; and Susan and Larry Villnave of Norfolk; her grandchildren, Brad, Travis, Jared, and Kaitlyn; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Dawson, Garrett, Chance, and Charley; her sister-in-laws, Katherine Paquin of Rochester; Carmen, Ellen, and Laurel Paquin, all of Massena.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Norma was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Willis.
A celebration of her life will begin at 10:00 AM Friday at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where a prayer service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Reilly, officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Calvary Cemetery.
