Funeral services for Carole J. (Trombley) Seguin, age 77 of Riverview, FL and formerly of Ogdensburg, will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday July 11, 2017 at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Foxwood Memorial Park in Ogdensburg. Calling hours will be held also on Tuesday from 12:00 to 3:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Seguin passed away on Monday evening July 3, 2017, at the Sun City Hospice House in Ruskin, FL surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving is her husband James of Riverview, FL; two sons Steven (Tami) Seguin of Riverview, FL and Eric (Molly) Seguin of Medford, NJ; a daughter Penny (John) Burt of Watertown, NY; two brothers Paul (Beryl) Trombley of Northport, FL and Roger (Carolyn) Trombley of Lake Wales, FL; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Carole was born on December 22, 1939, in Potsdam, NY, a daughter of the late Wilber & Ivah (McEwen) Trombley and stepfather Henry Polniak. She attended school in Herkimer, NY and married James Seguin on October 20, 1956 at the First Congregational Church of Ogdensburg. During her career, she worked for the Ogdensburg City School District as a Teacher’s Aide and later as a Senior Financial Counselor at the Rutgers University School of Medicine in Piscataway, NJ until her retirement in 1994.

Carole was a past member of the First Congregational Church in Ogdensburg and the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, crocheting and traveling. She served as the Vice President of the first St. Lawrence County Foster Parents Association and was a member of the first Juvenile Conference Committee in Ogdensburg; with Carole and her husband Jim serving as foster parents for 25 children during a 17-year period.
