Donald D. Gould, 86, of Sackets Harbor and formerly of Henderson, died Friday July 7th at the Samaritan Medical Center emergency room after becoming ill at home earlier in the day.
Services will be scheduled at a later day and time. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Henderson. Arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth, Oswego, Robert, Watertown, John, Weedsport; a daughter Susan Curry, New Orleans; grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters Inez Bates, Nevada and Sandra Marr, Georgia; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Betty L. (Brandt) and a son William.
Donald was born December 8, 1930, a son to Frederick and Ruth Dorr Gould. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Donald worked for the Thousand Islands Park Commission, serving as Superintendent of Westcott’s Beach for many years, retiring in 1990. He later served as Town Supervisor for the Town of Henderson for several years.
Donald was a member of the Adams VFW.
