pMrs. Barbara Jean Webster, age 77 of Potsdam, NY passed away on March 14th at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus while under the care of her family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 18th at 11 am at the Knapp Station Community Church with Rev. Lee Sweeney celebrant. There will be coffee and deserts to follow. Burial will be private at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Parishville, NY. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory can be made to the United Helpers Maplewood Campus. /ppBarbara is survived by sons William (Anne) Webster, Malcolm (Kelly) Webster, Michael (Melissa) Webster; daughters Theresa (Brian) Gafney, Sara Webster and Cheryl (David) Denny; brothers Robert, Malcolm, Bernard, Donald and Paul “Frank” Smith; several grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Willam E. Webster. /ppBarbara Jean Webster was born on November 14, 1938 in Parishville, NY to the late Clifton Smith and Lillian Munson. She attended Parishville schools. On July 25, 1968 she was married to William E. Webster. Barbara waitressed in many local establishments for many years and she and her husband were the owners of The Body Shop Tavern in West Stockholm for years.
