pDonna P. Berkman, 64, of Bethel Park, PA, formerly of Watertown, passed away May 10, 2016 at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center-Shadyside./ppDonna was born April 30, 1952, in Watertown a daughter of Donald E. and Gina Misercola Patchen. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1970 and attended Jefferson Community College where she studied both early childhood development and hospitality and tourism. Donna was formerly married to Mike Berkman, Sr. for twenty five years. She worked in the House of the Good Samaritan day care and was a unit clerk for ten years. She then became a private daycare provider and was a teachers’ assistant at Sherman Street School. She and her companion Keith Alcombrack moved to Pittsburgh, PA in 2001. Donna owned and operated a commercial and residential cleaning business in PA./ppDonna was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and of St. Winifred’s Church in Pittsburgh, PA. For many years she was an active volunteer for both St. Anthony’s and Immaculate Heart Central schools. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, antiques, collecting family photos, and scrapbooking; especially for her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Donna was an avid fan of Syracuse University lacrosse, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates./ppSurviving besides her parents, Donald and Gina Patchen, and companion Keith Alcombrack are, two sons, Michael M. Berkman Jr. (Kathleen), Windermere, FL, Justin J. (Kristi) Berkman, Orange Park, FL, seven grandchildren, Mikey, Ryan, Garren, Gina, Kalan, Reya and Tess Berkman, two brothers, Donald E. (Deborah) Patchen, Watertown, Dominic S. (Michele) Patchen, Constantia, NY, several nieces and nephews, Keith’s children, Mechia (Jim) Williams, Tonya Bryan, Kyle Alcombrack, Keith’s grandchildren, Nathan, Abigail and Katie Williams, Brook Rogers, Danielle and Janelle Alcombrack./ppCalling hours will be Monday, May 16, 2016, from 4-7pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at 10 am at St. Anthony’s Church. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
