pPHILADELPHIA- Lowell C. Dingman, 84, of LaCount Street, Chateaugay, NY, formerly of Philadelphia, NY, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, NY./ppBorn January 6, 1932 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of the late Carl and Louise Borst Dingman. A graduate of Springfield Central School in 1948, he attended Syracuse University, transferring to Ithaca College, receiving his Bachelor degree in physical education in 1952./ppHe entered to United States Army in March 1954, working in the intelligence division until his honorable discharge in March 1956./ppHe married Celia Jane McShane on February 27, 1954 in Cherry Valley./ppMr. Dingman began teaching in 1958 at the newly formed Indian River Central School District, teaching drivers’ education. He retired in 1987./ppSurvivors include his wife of 62 years, Celia Jane; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Catherine and Richard Mothersell, Rodman, NY, Mary and Wayne Lamb, Churubusco, NY; four grandchildren; one great grandchild./ppA son, Thomas Dingman died in 1990./ppCalling hours will be from 1-3 pm Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Frederick Bros.
