pFuneral Services for Miriam A. Schell, 96, of Philadelphia, N.Y. will held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 28th at the family home, 2 Garden Road, Philadelphia, N.Y. Calling hours will be Friday, May 27th from 2 p.m. -10 p.m. also at the family home. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home Dexter, N.Y./ppMrs. Schell passed away May 24th at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse NY from complications from surgery./ppMiriam Alton married Henry (Hank) Schell on March 26, 1936 at the Alton family home. They owned and operated a farm on the Ore Bed Road until their retirement. Mr. Schell died in 2002./ppMiriam is survived by two daughters in- law, Mrs. James Schell (Georgia) Philadelphia and Mrs. Russell Schell (May) Pennellville.Her son James R. Schell passed away in 2000 and her son Russell D. Schell passed away in 2014. She is also survived by several grandchildren: Jamie and James Clyde, with whom she resided, James G. Schell, Watertown, Jason and Holly Schell, Philadelphia, Jacques and Gina Schell ,Clay, Bruce and Laurie Schell, Oswego, Jodi and Janet Schell, Fulton, Timothy Schell, Pennellville, Patrick and Anne Schell, Syracuse, and Paul Schell, Fulton. Miriam is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gerald Desormo (Margaret), Theresa and Mrs. Ernie Marcell (Mary Lou), Long Lake and one brother Donald Alton, Georgia. A brother Carlton Alton passed away in 1984. Miriam also has several nieces and nephews, 24 great- great grandchildren and 31 great- great-great grandchildren./p
