Jack predeceased her on February 13, 1965./ppAlice moved to Massena in July of 1994 to be near her daughter and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, Bingo and Shuffleboard. LaLonde, 76, of Clayton passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Samaritan Keep Home where he had resided since March 4, 2010./ppCalling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., 320 John St., Clayton on Thursday, December 8, from 4 - 7PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Clayton on Friday, December 9, at 11AM with Rev. Arthur J. LaBaff, pastor, presiding and burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery./ppSterling was born in Watertown on June 11, 1940, son of Clarence J. and Ethel B. Heintzelman LaLonde. He was a 1959 graduate of Clayton Central School. On May 8, 1965 he married Linda L. Dwyer at St. Mary’s Church with Rev. Leo Wiley officiating. /ppHe served in the Army National Guard, entering on July 12, 1963, was active for almost a year, and was honorably discharged from the Reserves on July 11, 1969. For 38 years he worked for the NYS Dept. of Transportation. After his retirement, he was associated with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc. and with Bonnie Castle Yacht Basin in Alexandria Bay./ppSterling was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 350. He was a 42 year member of the American Legion Colon Couch Post 821 and a 56 year member of the Clayton Fire Dept. He enjoyed playing in the Twilight Golf League and Clayton Old Timer Hockey. He was an avid sports fan, on all levels including high school, and his favorite teams were the Yankees, Giants, and Bruins. Sterling enjoyed golfing, camping, ice fishing, swimming, and he was known for providing refreshments at the Clayton Christmas Parade. He treasured spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. /ppAlong with his loving wife, Linda, he is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Tammy L. and Joseph Gallion, Rock Hill, SC, Melissa A. and Stephen Dudyak, Chazy, and Stacey L. and Jeffrey Lalonde, Watertown; four grandchildren, McClain and Reagan Dudyak and McKenna and Owen Lalonde; sister-in-law, Dorothy L. “Dot” LaLonde, Clayton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her son Carl was born in July of 1975, they divorced and she returned to Harrisville. /ppShe was formerly employed by Scanlon’s Bakery from the early 1980’s through the early 1990’s, then she worked at the Village Inn until 1993. She adopted her children Eleetah and Stacey Rich in July, 2007. She was an active church member and enjoyed crocheting and knitting./ppLucy is survived by her children, Carl A. Nora was born on July 26, 1927 in Massena, NY to the late Francis McKenna and Anna Sullivan McKenna. She was a 1945 graduate of Potsdam High School and afterward, Watertown School of Commerce. On July 30, 1955 she married her A&P store sweetheart, Charles H. Clarke at St. Mary’s Church in Potsdam, NY. Nora was a secretary at Clarkson College and Potsdam State Teacher’s College before motherhood. Nora relished the simple joys of home, family, St. Mary’s Church, country music, dancing, singing, babies, porch visits, company, playing cards (not w/ her sister), bingo nights, and eating her husband’s great cooking. She was the assistant to the Vice President of Finance. She then worked as the office manager at the Presbyterian Church. Followed by working as an assistant to the director of the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce. /pp Norma was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Potsdam. She was a remarkable woman, a wonderful combination of warmth, kindness, laughter and love. A smile of sunshine, a heart of pure gold. Norma spent her entire life giving selflessly. No matter the hardship, she never once complained. Her spirit was always bright. Her nature always kind. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend. She touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. Her strength unwavering, her accomplishments rich. Norma was divine and will be missed deeply. /p

(Savage) Peets in Malone, NY on March 2, 1940. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Massena High School class of 1958. Shortly after graduation, Roger married his beloved Barbara Goodrow on September 20, 1958 at the Church of The Sacred Heart with Rev. Jack Downs presiding. They began their family as Roger started his career as a machinist at Reynolds Metals, leaving to work at GM Powertrain Group in Massena for 10 years, returning to Reynolds Metals, retiring in 2001. /ppRoger was very active in his children’s sports and activities, coaching in Tee-Ball, Little League, Babe Ruth Baseball, Minor Soccer and Girls & Boys Biddy Basketball for nearly 19 years. He was also a lifetime communicant at Sacred Heart Church and participated in the Folk Group, Pre Cana, Marriage Encounter, Cursillo, and as a Eucharistic Minister./ppHe was very proud of all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
