She was raised in an orphanage in Ogdensburg and attended school in Ogdensburg. On November 27,1948 she married Chester Dillon in Potsdam. She was a waitress at Blanche’s in Potsdam and later went to work at Canton-Potsdam Hospital in the laundry until her retirement and move to Florida. She married Peter Molnar in 1997 in Florida where she lived for 25 years, returning home to Potsdam after Peter’s death./ppTheresa enjoyed knitting,crocheting,listening to opera and Dean Martin. She also enjoyed watching old movies on TV./p

(Kirkub) Gilmartin he attended school in Peekskill, NY./ppHe entered the US Army on March 16, 1961 and was stationed at Fort Drum, NY and he was honorably discharged on March 15, 1963 as a PFC./ppWhile stationed at Fort Drum he met Sylvia C. Conant of Watertown whom he married on May 11, 1963 at the Emmanuel Congregational Church in Watertown. The couple resided in Watertown. He then worked for NY AirBrake as a machinist for 38 years, retiring in 2001. /ppMrs. Gilmartin worked at Jefferson County Department of Social Services for 18 years, retiring in 2004./ppHe was a member of the Black River American Legion. He loved cooking, going to garage sales and he enjoyed spending time with his family./ppAmong his survivors are his beloved wife of 53 years, Sylvia C. Gilmartin, Watertown; a son and daughter in law, Thomas W. and Issy H. (Grosse) Andrus. She attended Watertown High School. She was employed by JRC of Watertown at the workshop. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, basketball, music and swimming in the family pool./ppShe is survived by her mother Jean E. Andrus of Rutland; three sisters: Mrs. Stephen (Judy) Foy of Watertown, Donna R. Weston of Albany and Mrs. Mark (JoElaine) Colvin of Mexico, her special nieces and nephews: Nathan, Julia and Joseph Foy, Heidi Hess, Sarah Thionville, Matt Colvin and Kellie Weaver and several aunts and uncles. Alexander Drive, Colton, will be held Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the St. Patrick’s Church in Colton with Rev. Stephen Rocker presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Mr. Collins passed away at his home Saturday evening surrounded by his family./ppSteve is survived by his wife of 52 years, Suellan, Hannawa Falls; a son, Edward and Deborah Collins, Lake Luzerne; his daughter, Lisa and Kenneth Clemons, West Potsdam; his five beloved grandchildren, Terri Lynn and Harold “Joe” Bullock, Rebecca Collins, Leslie Clemons, Katelyn Clemons, Lucas Clemons; one great grandson, Harold Jackson Bullock; a brother Glen Collins, Potsdam. Nephew Robert and Michele Collins, niece Jennifer Collins and several other nieces and nephews also survive Steve. Steve was pre-deceased by a brother, Mark Collins./ppBorn in Potsdam, NY on May 5, 1943 to the late Wallace and Grayce Sullivan Collins, Steve graduated from High School and attended trade school. He married Suellan Tolman on July 4, 1964. He worked for the Niagara Mohawk Power Company for 30 years, retiring in 1997 as the Chief Line Mechanic. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Colton as well as a member of the American Legion in Potsdam. Steve is an Honorary Member of the Hannawa Falls Fire Department, where he served for many years. His true enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Steve lived one day at a time and was always willing to help others. He believed in and was active in the 12 step program and was faithful to the Serenity Prayer. Steve served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, from 1963-1967. pCROGHAN/HARRISVILLE, NY ~ Mary Ann Reed, 87, formerly of Steepleview Courts, Croghan, and Maple Street, Harrisville, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Hospice of Jefferson County – The Ellis Farm in Watertown, NY. Prior to being admitted at the Hospice facility, she had been a two year resident of the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility, Lowville./ppOne of ten children, she was born on September 22, 1928 in Croghan, NY, a daughter of Wilfrid J. and Imelda M. LaBrasseur Proulx, and was educated at the former Fr. Leo Memorial School in Croghan. Following high school, she worked at the Big Moose Resort in Eagle Bay, and later, at Beaverite Products, Inc., in Beaver Falls./ppShe married Everett C. Reed on October 9, 1948 at St. Stephen’s Church in Croghan. After their marriage, the couple moved to Fine and later to Harrisville where they resided and raised their family and where she and her husband owned and operated Reed’s Texaco in the heart of the village for seventeen years. Mr. Reed died on December 9, 1980./ppMary Ann was a long time communicant of St. Francis Solanus Church in Harrisville, was a member of its Daughters of Isabella, and was instrumental in forming the church’s funeral luncheon committee and its Lenten Fish Fries. She was also a very active volunteer of the Harrisville community, serving on the local Election Board, as a Cub Scout Den Mother, and starting the Flag Fund as a member of the Adirondack Grange #530. /ppThroughout her life, she always took pleasure in staying active, enjoyed bowling in her younger years, was an avid reader, and above all, loved her family. Mary Ann always liked to tell the story of how her mother, who came from St. Godefroi, Quebec, Canada, and her father, who was from Riviere Beaudette, Quebec, had met when her father and his brother had traveled from Croghan to St. Godefroi, Quebec, Canada to build a barn, which in turn, led to a year-long romance. Their romance continued through their letters to each other for a year, before asking her father for her hand in marriage./ppSurviving are her four children, Patrick S. (Belinda) Reed, of Central NY, Deborah A. (Richard) Matthews, of McSherrystown, PA, Pamela M. Reed, of Suffern, NY, and Penny L. Decoteau (Lynn Raymond), of Dexter, NY; six grandchildren, Michael Reed, Steven Reed, Timothy Matthews, Megan Saunders, Jenna Middleton and Jonathon Decoteau, and seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Donald “Frenchy” Proulx, Wilfrid “Stump” (Ellen “Kee”) Proulx, Jr., and Kenneth (Joyce) Proulx, all of Croghan; five sisters, Theresa (Leo) Rosiczkowski, of Turin, Janet (Richard ) Mathys, of Austin, TX, Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Ritz (Floyd “Fudgie”) Leonard, of Harrisville, Simone (Thomas) Ward, of Florida, and Patricia (Butch) Bramhall, of Soft Maple, and numerous nieces and nephews./ppShe was predeceased by her oldest brother, Paul Proulx, who died in 2009./ppHer funeral will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016, beginning with a 10:30 a.m. service at Scanlon Funeral Home, CROGHAN, followed by her interment in St. Francis Solanus Cemetery in HARRISVILLE, with the Rev. Hudon, 80, passed away Saturday morning at the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown, surrounded by his loving family./ppHe was born March 25, 1936 in Canton, Connecticut, son of Ernest and Gladys Girard Hudon. After graduating high school, Glenn moved to Alexandria Bay to work at Adventure Town. He also took blacksmithing at Cornell University. He was a certified blacksmith, loved Appaloosa horses, and was involved with many horse lovers in the area./ppHe married Susan Edick on September 21, 1956 in Alexandria Bay. His death came 4 days prior to their 60th wedding anniversary. /ppHe was a rural carrier at for the United States Postal Service in Alexandria Bay for over 30 years./ppGlenn loved all animals, but especially horses. He attended local schools. He married Myrtle Patchin on May 11, 1957 at the Harrisville Methodist Church; Mrs. Baker died in 2005. He served in the United States Army from 1959 -61, where he was stationed in Germany. He worked for Williamson’s Mink Farm in Natural Bridge, then for Viking Steel in Harrisville until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising pheasants./ppHe is survived by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings, Floyd, Archie, Josephine, Clinton, Howard, Stanley, Clarence, Donald, Theda, Harvey, Russell and Eleanor./ppCalling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM, with the Rev. Previously, Cynthia worked as a nurses aid at the Potsdam and Highland Nursing Homes. Cynthia loved to spend time with her family, her many friends and especially her grandchildren. He attended Watertown schools. He served in the Army from 1970 to 1972 where he became a chef. He was a chef for many years at the Thousand Islands Club where he met his wife. He married the former Ann P. Fillippi on January 18, 2013 but they were together for 27 years prior. Ann died on March 28th of this year. David was currently employed by D.C.
